第八届海峡两岸细胞生物学研讨会将于2011年5月13-15日在台南市举行。
研讨会主题：
（1）细胞讯号转导
（2）细胞沾黏、迁移及癌症
（3）干细胞及细胞分化
（4）核糖核酸生物学
（5）免疫学及微生物与宿体交互作用
（6）神经与发育生物学
（7）植物细胞生物学
第八届海峡两岸细胞生物学学术研讨会于2011年5月13-15日在台南召开。本次研讨会为期3天，共有41名海峡两岸的科学家作了精彩的学术报告，我会派出了丁小燕为组长的19人代表团参加了会议。
会议围绕细胞讯号转导、细胞沾黏、迁移及癌症、干细胞及细胞分化、核糖核酸生物学、免疫学及微生物与宿体交互作用、神经与发育生物学和植物细胞生物学专题开展了讨论，并且大陆和台湾双方学会代表在会议期间开展了会晤，商讨如何促进两岸细胞生物学的发展与合作、交流。为了满足两岸科技工作者的需求，让更多的人，特别是青年科技工作者参与到会议中来，两岸学会商议决定：原两年一次的海峡研讨会将改为一年一次，分别由大陆和台湾轮流承办。参会代表不仅限于报告人，非常欢迎学生等青年科技工作者参会。2012年第九届海峡两岸细胞生物学学术研讨会拟由中国细胞生物学学会主办，地点暂定为云南丽江。
会后，部分大陆参会代表参观访问了台湾国家卫生研究院，与国家卫生研究院编辑中心陈立秋主任、分子与基因医学研究所王陆海所长、江运金副研究员、免疫医学研究中心谭泽华主任等进行了学术交流，并参观了斑马鱼研究实验室等。
本届研讨会取得了圆满成功。双方没有涉及任何政治敏感问题。
