The Across the Taiwan Strait Symposium of Cell Biology

The Across the Taiwan Strait Symposium of Cell Biology is an academic conference initiated in 1996 by the late YAO Zhen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor WU Chengwen, an academician of Academia Sinica (中央研究院). It has been held twelve times since then. This meeting aims to facilitate scientific discussions and communications in cell biology among the scientists across the strait. Before 2012, The conference was held biennially, alternating between mainland China and Taiwan. As of 2012, the conference is held twice every three years.
